We couldn’t miss looking back to our last TEDxFrankfurt Salon which took place at the beautiful location of the PwC experience center.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who attended our recent TEDxFrankfurt salon on the theme of “How to use AI Chat GPT”. Your presence, engagement and active participation made the event an extraordinary experience. We would also like to express our gratitude to PwC for providing us with an inspiring environment to engage in these important conversations.

We started the conversation after jointly watching the interview held by head of TED Chris Anderson is having with Greg Brockman on “The Inside Story of ChatGPTs Potential”.

From the lively discussions, several key takeaways emerged, reminding us of the importance of responsible and ethical usage of AI.

Embracing Technology with Responsibility: The central theme that resonated with all of us was the need for society to embrace new technologies, while also recognizing the importance of understanding their potential risks and protecting ourselves. The advent of AI will undoubtedly bring about changes in the job market, leading to the disappearance perhaps of some roles and the emergence of new ones. Nevertheless, it is crucial to establish guardrails and ensure that the increasing presence of artificial intelligence does not overshadow human intelligence.

Navigating the Pandora’s Box: AI, including Chat GPT, is comparable to a Pandora’s box. On one hand, it offers countless benefits and makes certain processes easier, but on the other hand, it poses the potential for misuse and harm. As a responsible community, we must be cautious and exercise critical thinking when it comes to trusting the outputs generated by AI systems. Trust should never be taken for granted, regardless of the context in which AI is employed.

The Role of Ethics and Responsibility: The discussions throughout the evening reminded us that AI is not solely about technology; it encompasses a deeper understanding of ethics and responsibility. We must strive to educate ourselves and others on how to use AI safely and effectively, while constantly questioning and seeking answers to the ethical dilemmas it presents. Change is inevitable, and it is our duty to be prepared for it and actively shape the future.

Imagination as Our Guide: The possibilities and potential for improvement offered by AI are vast. It has the capacity to revolutionize the way we live and work. As we navigate this transformative era, let our collective imagination guide us towards harnessing AI’s power for the greater good, always mindful of its limitations and the importance of human judgment.
